What Our Village Offers
At our childcare centre in Burwood East, we focus on creating meaningful daily experiences that support children’s wellbeing and learning.
Delicious & Healthy Meals
Mealtimes are an important part of the day. Children enjoy wholesome, balanced meals and snacks that support healthy growth, while also learning independence and social skills as they gather and share conversation.
Stimulating Incursions
We love bringing new experiences into the centre. A stick insect and pets incursion gives children the chance to observe living creatures up close, ask questions and build confidence through hands-on discovery.
Regular Excursions
As part of our Burwood East preschool and kindergarten experience, we are preparing excursions to nearby parks and local shopping centres. These outings help children feel connected to their community and develop confidence beyond the classroom.
Connection with Families
We understand how important it is for families to feel involved. Through the OWNA app, parents receive updates, photos and messages throughout the day, helping them stay connected to their child’s learning and experiences in our Burwood East kindergarten and long day care programs.
Government-Funded 3-Year-Old & 4-Year-Old Kindergarten
We offer Victorian Government-funded three- and four-year-old kindergarten within our long day care setting. This gives families the flexibility of extended hours while ensuring children receive a structured kindergarten program that supports a confident transition to school.
Free Community Playgroup
Free community playgroup held each week. With guest speakers, specialist learning opportunities, and lots of fun, this is a great opportunity for all community members with young children.

Childcare Subsidy & Free Kinder
Village Early Education Burwood East supports families by offering both the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and the Victorian Government’s Free Kindergarten program.
The CCS helps reduce the cost of childcare for eligible families. The subsidy is paid directly to childcare providers and lowers the daily fees parents pay for approved care. The amount families receive depends on factors such as household income, the number of hours parents spend working, studying or volunteering and the hours of care used.
Families attending our childcare centre can also benefit from the Victorian Government’s Free Kindergarten initiative. This program provides funded kindergarten for both three-year-old and four-year-old children, helping prepare them for school through structured play-based learning. These programs form an important part of our preschool and kindergarten, giving children opportunities to build confidence, social skills and early learning foundations before starting school.
