This multi-level centre has been thoughtfully designed to feel warm and inviting, with secure pin code access at the entrances and lifts, lockable French windows and spacious reception areas for families to gather.
Each level features its own sandpit, along with outdoor play areas that include a car and boats for imaginative play, shaded spaces for warmer days, and carefully-selected educational resources throughout. A Fresh Start in Burwood East
Our Burwood East childcare and kindergarten programs are designed to support children as they grow from babies through to school age. With places for up to 113 children each day, our Burwood East preschool brings long day care and Victorian-funded three- and four-year-old kindergarten together in one consistent setting.
What matters most to us is the people. Our educators are experienced, caring and genuinely passionate about early learning. They take the time to understand each child’s personality, interests and pace, building strong relationships that help children feel safe and confident.
In our Burwood East kindergarten program, families benefit from extended care hours alongside a structured kindergarten experience. It means children can settle into one familiar environment while developing the skills they need for a smooth and confident transition to primary school.
Introducing our Centre Manager
Talia is the Centre Manager at Village Early Education Burwood East, where she leads with experience and a genuine care for the children, families and team around her.
Her passion for early childhood education began at a young age and has grown through hands-on experience across roles, including Assistant Educator, Room Leader, Kindergarten Teacher and Educational Leader. She holds a Diploma from Holmesglen Institute and a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care from Deakin University.
Talia focuses on creating an environment where children feel safe, supported and confident to explore and learn at their own pace. She works closely with her team to build consistent practices and support each educator’s growth. Strong relationships with families are also her priority, helping create a welcoming sense of belonging within the centre.
Outside of work, Talia enjoys staying active through swimming, going to the gym and playing racquetball or tennis. She also loves cooking and travelling, having visited Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Europe and Bali.
What Our Village Offers
At our childcare centre in Burwood East, we focus on creating meaningful daily experiences that support children’s wellbeing and learning.
Delicious & Healthy Meals
Mealtimes are an important part of the day. Children enjoy wholesome, balanced meals and snacks that support healthy growth, while also learning independence and social skills as they gather and share conversation.
Stimulating Incursions
We love bringing new experiences into the centre. A stick insect and pets incursion gives children the chance to observe living creatures up close, ask questions and build confidence through hands-on discovery.
Regular Excursions
As part of our Burwood East preschool and kindergarten experience, we are preparing excursions to nearby parks and local shopping centres. These outings help children feel connected to their community and develop confidence beyond the classroom.
Connection with Families
We understand how important it is for families to feel involved. Through the OWNA app, parents receive updates, photos and messages throughout the day, helping them stay connected to their child’s learning and experiences in our Burwood East kindergarten and long day care programs.
Government-Funded 3-Year-Old & 4-Year-Old Kindergarten
We offer Victorian Government-funded three- and four-year-old kindergarten within our long day care setting. This gives families the flexibility of extended hours while ensuring children receive a structured kindergarten program that supports a confident transition to school.
At our Burwood East childcare centre, learning happens in many different ways throughout the day. Some experiences are guided by educators. Others begin with a child’s idea or curiosity. Everything is shaped by the Early Years Learning Framework, which supports children’s confidence and independence.

Access Childcare Subsidy
We know that affordability matters when choosing a childcare centre in Burwood East. The Child Care Subsidy helps many families reduce their daily childcare fees, depending on their circumstances. The level of support varies, but for many parents it can make a significant difference to weekly costs. If you are unsure how it works or whether you are eligible, we have a simple guide that explains how to apply for Child Care Subsidy and what steps are involved.
Families enrolling in our kindergarten program may also benefit from Victoria’s Free Kinder initiative. This provides a fee offset for children enrolled in the kindergarten program for three- and four-year-old children, helping lower costs while ensuring access to a structured early learning program. It allows families to combine funded kindergarten with long day care in one consistent setting.
